I just got these at the fleamarket today and I'm not 100% sure what they are, I have a hunch that their rubik's brand but theres no logo on the white centers also one has a messed up color scheme its only a problem to me because if these arent worth anything I wanted to make them into a siamese cube. Note that on the one that the core looks black thats juwt because i havent cleaned that core yet if its and issue ill clean it and post new pics, I think there realy old because not only was the guy i bought them from elderly (to put it nicely :P) but he threw in two books on how to solve it not that i needed them but there cool none the less (one even had some old comics in it) the're both dated '81 could just be coincidental but idk please tell me what you think :)
Here's a link to a flickr set with all the pics http://flic.kr/s/aHsjuQHEzx

What puzzle is this?

I borrowed this rubik like puzzle, and whilst in my car it broke :(
I wish to buy a replacement for my friend, but I have no idea what this puzzle is called or where to start searching for it
puzzlewg.jpg

as you can see it's very much like the 3x3x3 rubiks cube, it uses the same interlocking mechanism as most other rubiks cubes, the bottom middle piece is like the 3x3x3 edge piece and the bottom right piece is like the corner.

any help would be appreciated, thanx :)

Just a truncated 3x3x3. I'm not sure if it has a name. Try checking on TwistyPuzzles.com.

Like Owen said it's just a truncated 3x3. The value? Hmm look at the way it's made it look's like just somme cheap puzzle, that you can find all over China.

Hi I recently found an odd ball cube while cleaning out my closet. It is supposed to be a 25th anniversary cube but the white is replace by a metallic silver. You can see your reflection in it. Here is the picture. It cannot cut corners and is very stiff. I looked online to see it and I could only find one with a white face and not the silver. I was wondering about this cube and its details and basically what I have my hands on right now. Thank You!

P.S. the attachment i just preview is very small just zoom in on it! Oops I am so sorry! I forgot to mention that i could not take this cube apart. i seems that there are no caps and I cannot pop out any of the bits. So I am very sorry for not providing a picture of the inside. All the stickers on it are original so it is safe to judge it by the odd metallic silver that is present on only one face of the cube. The rest of the sides are normal color and the orange is slightly brighter than most cubes.
