Only USA cubers call it Taiyan (because they can't say chinese letters right)
It's should be Dayan. All (as far as I know) chinese puzzle shop call it Dayan.

Oh, I thought they were the same cube without really looking. Now my computer is being stupid and won't let me see them.
I'm guessing it's a VVGOO-II cube, made by Yong Jun Toys.
Good guess Stefan, you are correct!
I should have been clearer. What TYPE is it?
Very nice cube, by the way.

But what's the obsession with "types", why is the more precise name that you already have not sufficient? Oh well... "Type D something" is probably the best one can say. Daniel said D2, but that conflicts with cube4you's naming which calls the VVGOO-I "D2" (actually "d-II"). And if I remember correctly, those two models differ a lot. I suspect you'd be better off saying why you want to know, i.e., what you need the answer for.

Dan is now confused. Dan will be researching now.

EDIT: ok i got it now. will post a thread tomorrow.

I did not realize I was obsessed...maybe...
Actually, I seek knowledge. I got my first cube in Hungary in 1979, and was partial to Rubik's brand until this year. I am just now entering the "other cube" realm and want to learn.

Well, I didn't mean just you, I meant all people who ask "what type is this?" when they already have a name. It's particularly annoying when they ask about for example the c4u cubes which just don't have a "type" other than c4u. Of course I acknowledge that there are many cubes and it's confusing (after all, that was the reason I made speedcubes.net), but it's still bugging me.
