Pigeonhole Problem - A Random Comp Idea

Another random comp idea of mine, which for some odd reason come around on 10 week rotations (I won't forget about this one I promise). Based on Dirilecht's Pigeonhole Principle. Competitors are known as pigeons.
Format:
For N number of competitors, there will be n-1 number of events. Each round, every competitor will secretly elect an event for their pigeonhole (they must be able to complete this event). Those pigeons who are alone in their hole are safe. Those who have multiple pigeons in their hole will have to choose:

1. Battle it out. Both/all pigeons stay in the hole, I provide scrambles, fastest average wins, the slowest is eliminated.
2. The pigeons can choose to leave the hole and try and risk joining another hole, called hole hopping. HOWEVER, you do not know which hole other pigeons are in, so you may still have to battle it out in a harder scenario. You can only holehop once. ALSO, you will not be told if the other pigeon/s in your original hole also hopped, as if they do, you are left alone and are safe.

In option 2, if a new pigeon hops into your hole, you can choose to battle or to hop yourself (you have 2 hops as an advantage, since you were originally meant to be safe).
The losing pigeon is eliminated. If there are multiple losing pigeons, they undergo the same process in a random selection of different holes than they first selected.
After a round is finished, everyone votes on a hole to eliminate.
If you can guess who is eliminated in the upcoming round prior to it starting, you gain a bankable hop redeemable at any time.

Stupid idea? I think so too :|

To Join: Say I join in this thread, along with the NEW event you want included in this competition (the last joiner's event not included unless someone is stupid). If you say an event already included then I am not liable for your stupidity and you can't join until you say a new event.
You must be able to complete the event you nominate, and an event must have 3 people which can do it at the start to be included. Non-WCA events allowed.

Starts once I feel like it, get in quick.

What happens if 3+ pigeons are in the same hole?

They all can either hop or battle. The slowest person is the loser.

I'll join with master kilominx. This sounds fun, but potentially very complicated. I'd suggest that people submit all the information for a round at once. Like if you know you're going to stick with your first choice, submit times for that one. If you know you'll switch at most once, submit that info as well as times for the puzzle you'd switching to. If you'd switch twice, you'd have to submit times for both events you'd switch to in case you don't have a second switch available. That would avoid a lot of back and forth, making the competition run more smoothly. I hope that made sense.

You can't, that's too much of a hack, but I will know for the sake of the comp.

Nah happy for unofficial events, as long as people can do them.

Sorry but I'd rather not. As a person who is/was (still) a 2 look o/pll user I know how easy it is to game by doing a different alg to end up with a better final case, at which point it's just bad o/pll.
We currently have 10 competitors, will leave it open for another 24 hrs or so before we start.
