I’ve posted a few threads already, sorry, but this is important. Serious question:

HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO THE PI ALG???

The algorithm is R U2 (R2' U' R2 U') (R2' U2 R)

How am I supposed to do the R2 moves??? Am I MEANT to turn my hand upside down??? Cause it’s slow, and it hurts my wrist.

Please tell me there’s a better alg for this case

I know notation.

I’ve been cubing for a long time.

If I do R2 normally, regripping afterwards, I’ll regrip at least three times during the alg.
The alg that you have in your original post has different R2 notation, for example the first one is R2' not R2, which means it goes counterclockwise. Which if followed results in zero regrips.

People seem to be misunderstanding what I’m asking.

Here’s how I do the alg:

R: Normally
U2: Normally
R2': I do R' twice with no regrip. My hand is now positioned so my thumb is on the back of the cube, and my first three fingers are on the front. My hand has turned all the way around.
U': Normally
R2: I do R twice. My thumb is now on the front, while my first three fingers are on the back.
U': A forward flick with my right pointer, as my left pointer isn’t on the back of the cube again yet
R2': Like the first R2'. My right thumb is on the back again
U2: Left pointer, and then left middle.
R: Normally. My right thumb is on the bottom of the cube, and my first three fingers are on top

What I’m saying is it’s uncomfortable when my thumb is on front and first three fingers on the back, but I want to avoid a regrip.

Is there a better alg for this case?

Start on home grip, don’t regrip before the first R

U2: Normally
doubt

Going by your other thread about Antisune, you seem to dislike lefty U2s. Get used to lefty U2s instead of trying very hard to avoid them by doing righty U2s with weird grips.

(Alternatively, mirror it so you can do the U2s with your right hand instead: L' U2 L2 U L2' U L2 U2 L'. Equivalently, r' F2 r2 B r2' F r2 B2 r'.)

reminds me of myself(i mean the comment about pixilated disliking lefty U2s)

i cant do double flicks with a move between them with my left hand but i cant with my right.i can still do U2s with my right hand though

for example if i do a lefty jb perm with a U auf then i would do two pushes with my index instead of a double flick

i tried doing that with a double flick but i locked up a lot and because its not much faster i just kept doing what i did before
