ok around the forum i have heard of people using something like MGLS or something like that and something that starts with a C, what are those? do they take the place of OLLs and PLLs or what? im so confused help me please!

It is unknown at this stage which is faster. It seems that they all have seemingly similar potential, but not many people try anything different.

Yeah I'm thinking that ELL + CLL has some potential (that is, first you solve the edges, then you solve the corners)

How easy/quick is recognition of ELL/CLL, in comparison to OLL/PLL?

I'm thinking it might be a bit quicker, cause you only need to see two edges/corners to know their permutation, and the orientation recognition is easier than OLL.

That is not true. For PLL you only need to see two faces to be able to recognize the permutatition.

And for ELL it is not enough to see 2 edges because the other 2 edges can be in both permutations. You can recognize the ELL by looking at 2 edges and 2 corners, but wouldn't it be weird to recognize ELL by looking at corners?

ZB is the fastest but hundreds of algorithms...

Theoretically, yeah. But again, with recognition - is it even possible to recognize and recall the algorithm for all those hundreds of cases fast enough to make it worth it?

I am more worried about the amount of practise you need before all those hundreds of algorithms are in muscle memory and you can execute them fluently. Some of those cases happen just 1/1000 (rough guess) times. If you did 50 solves every day you will only get that case once every 3 weeks

There are just 177 unique cases for ZBLL including solved, and even less algs than that is enough if you use setup moves. Sounds very possible to learn. Whether it would be "worth it" is another question, some people just enjoy cubing even though it's rather useless.

Oh, I didn't doubt it was possible to learn. But I suppose you're right - whether or not it's 'worth it' isn't really relevant.
