3. Honestly, cubing is a very niche hobby for first world kids with the luxury of free time. It's not the kind of gift I would choose for impoverished children in Haiti. Especially if you can't even afford it.

I remember something like this for solders in the war a long time ago on these forums. It was successful, well thought out and it actually happened.
Why don't you donate money for food, clean water, shelter, or clothing for them which are essentials. If I was in a horrible situation in an impoverished country I would want food, water, shelter or clothing.

If you're donating to a group of kids who you know will not get any gifts, then you shouldn't give them 3x3. Almost none of them will be interested in solving it. Look at a country like the US. ~Millions (did I guess right?) have a Rubik's cube, but very little are serious cubers, or have even bothered to learn how to solve it.

We have a list of thing to get kids they are 6 years and younger so I guess cubes wont work.
