Or learn HDErrr what?
Well you can try CLL or VOP or similar and see what you like.

Or learn HD![]()
VOP is a method where you solve 3/4 of a layer (your V), orient the remaining 5 pieces (O), and permute the remaining 5 pieces (P). HD (Higgs-Demars, named after the proposers) is sort of an upgrade to it, combining it's concepts with those of EG (it was originally propoed as EG-VOP). Invented by @Thermex and myself, and developed by @Neuro and @Shiv3r, You solve 3/4 of a face (not necessarily permuted), orient, and permute all. This has only 57 algs, around half of which are 6-7 moves or less. Eventually, you can learn a variant called HD-G (HD Guimond) where you intuitively solve the V and orientation simultaneously, resulting in very short and easily one looked solutions. Here's a link to a nice document. What’s HD? And whats VOP? How fast can you achieve with them? Thanks
Hello!
I have a MoYu TangPo and I am learning EG-1. But there is a problem, after executing the algorithm that finishes up the entire cube, I have an extra algorithm to do. It is SO annoying. I am holding the bottom bar in the back, and I am doing the algorithm correctly, I am doing it right off of the paper. Can someone help me avoid this?
Yeah sure! Can you give some examples? You could just be doing them from the wrong angle/with the bar in the wrong place. Are you sure they're EG-1 algs and not EG-2 or CLL?
The website I am using is cyotheking's website btw. Not sure if that is an accurate one.Can you give some examples? You could just be doing them from the wrong angle/with the bar in the wrong place. Are you sure they're EG-1 algs and not EG-2 or CLL?
Yeah sure!
For example, when I do an L Case, I do the algorithm as said. Then I end up with a random Ortega case it seems like.
Solved the issue! Turns out the algorithms on Chris's website don't seem to work, however.I can't really help with that info; I need a specific example (like before and after pictures of your cube and which algorithm you try to do).
The algs on Chris' website should work, by the way.
Not sure exactly, but it would be hilariously impracticalIf we were to modify ortega a bit just to not care about orientation of the pieces on first layer, how many algorithms would it be to solve from any position like that? Orient both faces and permute both faces in one algorithm?
Layers definitelyAfter learning CLL and getting recoginzation down what to move on next.
Recognize CLL from any side
AUF after CLL
Work on layers (Mine are about 6.3 a piece)
Begin to learn 3-4 move layer to predict CLL
From a few pages back in the probability thread. The probability is 1 in 1989.
There are 3 674 160 states, 1 of which is solved, and 384 of which can be solved in 3 moves or less (these are excluded in official scrambles). 1847 states can be solved in 4 moves.
(3674160 - 385) / 1847 = 1989.05
You're just trying to complicate the SOAP method. If we were to modify ortega a bit just to not care about orientation of the pieces on first layer, how many algorithms would it be to solve from any position like that? Orient both faces and permute both faces in one algorithm?
