OLL question?

I meant the alg for each individual look, not the 2 looks combined. (like just FRUR'U'F' by itself, or just sune by itself)
He said "you do two algorithms and take twice as long"
to take twice as long by doing two algs instead of one, that means each individual one of the two-look algs would have to be as long as a regular one-look OLL, making the two two-look algs put together twice as long as a normal OLL, which is not the case with most OLLs

Hopefully that cleared up what I meant?

I already knew what you meant, I was just adding something there. 2 look uses 2 shorter algorithms 1 look uses sometimes longer ones.(on average under 2 look amount)

it is worth it. only because some 2 look cases are annoying.

a previous poster said something about only saving a second or so using 1 look. this is not true. not only are some 1 look algs much faster than a compound 2 look, but there is also a recognition after edge orientation, as well as running into a 2nd AUF with the possibility of a slow OCLL. for me, OLL 28, 57. . etc. after EO i get headlights, which sucks. plus there is a an AUF. if i didnt know the result after EO then i would be stuck with an up in the air AUF and a horrible OCLL. just sayin.

i found learning OLL was not bad. i just learned the cases that i felt came up often and i was sick of not knowing them. typically they were the ones with easy recognition or the ones that ended up with OCLL i didnt like. i also ended up learning all the easy cases really quickly and that was a good addition to my 2 look for a really long time (T cases, dots, fat sunes/antisunes, Yperm trigger kite case etc. . ) after learning the easy cases and ALL of the cases that ended up with headlights after EO, i was almost finished with OLL and it was only 20 or so OLLs left. and honestly, those 20 were pretty easy with an exception of 5 or 6 wierd ones.
