How to deal with double OLL parity 6x6 Yau?

I've been really enjoying big cube Yau recently, has improved my times for both 5 and 7, but 6 I don't quite get.
With reduction, if I get the OLL parity where the edge is paired wrong, I do cross on the opposite side, then once I've completed F2L, I either do OLL parity with wide moves or with inner slice moves depending on if I get the other OLL parity or not.
What's the best way of dealing with double OLL parity on Yau where the cross colour is already decided?

If the parity is on the LL colour, leave it to the last layer (same as redux). Otherwise, you have two options which are roughly equally good: (i) just fix edge parity immediately and take the 50-50 on whether you get OLL parity or (ii) use slice-flip-slice to "transfer" the parity to an LL edge.

This also shouldn't be coming up frequently if you know parity L2E, in which case you should always (*) do L2E parity immediately and take the 50-50 on OLL parity.

(*) except for the "OLL parity" L2E case, of course

Thanks for the info, I'll probably go with the transfer method, sounds more fun, I do also want to play around with planning ahead and trying to force parity onto an LL edge when it's easy, not sure how viable that is, especially at my level, I'm only sub 3 after all.
