My avg of 3x3 is 17 and 5x5 is 1:52, but I c'ant get my 4x4 to sub-1:10!
some general things:
I use reduction and then ZB/CFOP, I use nakaji's edges and I do 2 opposite centers then the last 4.I use a mini QJ.
What can I do to improve my 4x4 times??? (Don't say practice because I practiced a LOT!)

I am not very fast at cubing by any means but practicing A LOT is not always the answer. Practice different things.

For example, on 3x3. I dont just sit there, scramble and solve repeatedly. I solve with a metronome, or slow solving with looking ahead and what not. I understand I am WAY slower than you but practicing a lot of the same thing and not getting results probably means youre practicing method is not effective.

I use Nakaji's method and have a 48-1:00 min avg, so I guess I'm qualified to comment xD

I find the key is to turn very fast with Nakaji's method! Despite having very easy lookahead it uses more moves than 3-6-3, 6-2-2-2 or 2 chain so you have to compensate for that.

Watch Nakaji's vids - he turns extremely fast for edges and uses L and R hands very evenly. You need good recognition and to be able to lookahead well enough so that you don't stop turning.

Basically I would suggest starting an average of 12 doing slow/smooth turning, and gradually increasing turning speed solve to solve, until you turn fast enough that you have to pause. If you keep doing this then hopefully you'll increase how fast you can go.

What are your breakdowns like?
