Is this true? You seriously started coding in 2nd grade? I’m not even that old (29) and didn’t have be a computer in my household until 5th grade. The first experience I got in coding was in my sophomore year of college, C++. I am constantly amazed at how fast technology changes...

bruh, are you some kind of the Matrix protagonist? I have have been programming for 6 months now, I used C++, Java, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Scratch(forlulz) and C#, how many do you know? (just reply once to not make this very off-topic lol)

There's also this one which has pretty optimised algs, so use both (but definitely get good at S moves if you're using ELL).

I've been kinda demotivated in cubing lately, and I think quarantine has a lot to do with that. I've missed out on two competitions due to them being cancelled because of COVID-19. I haven't really wanted to strive to improve in any event. I think I'm going to start using different methods(probably trying to get sub-20). I don't plan on switching away from CFOP, it's just a way to motivate me again. My times with different methods I've tried:

CFOP: 15
CFCE: 17? (A guess, I assume I'd be slightly slower than with CFOP because I use 4lll)
ZZ: 17
Petrus: Inconsistant, 20-30 (because of no practice)
Roux: 20-1:00 (no idea, I never do Roux solves)

I doubt I'll be doing CFCE or ZZ since I've used them as a main method before and I've already accomplished my goal of sub-20, but maybe. I also may try out other methods like HK or PCMS, but I'm starting with the big four(+CFCE because I already did that).

Edit: Added a poll to decide if I should do Roux or Petrus first

Currently averaging low 30s, don't have a sub-20 yet. I can plan my FB square, and if a 1x2x2 block is done then I can often track my other two FB pieces. I solve FB with blockbuilding techniques(still not great but not CFOP), but since I don't have much experience quickly doing blockbuilding I usually do CFOP-style for SB(although I do make use of some Roux techniques). I'm trying to track a couple pieces during FB to help, but can't do that yet. For some reason my brain can't remember to do 2-look CMLL, so I sometimes do OCLL then forget to permute them until after EO . EO is fine, there are a couple cases I could get more efficient with and I need to get better at tracking DB that way it's rotationless. My FL/FR is awful, I always have huge pauses there but I'm working on it, mainly just remembering what colors I need and trying to track DF and DB. L4E is okay, I need better recognition for 3-cycles because I'll sometimes do M2 M2 type stuff.

I'm x2 y CN(or whatever the notation is for white/yellow CN), and it was really easy. I use 2-look CMLL and most likely won't learn full CMLL because I still plan on using CFOP and don't even know OLL. I'm doing the best algs though(like not using R2 D R' U2 R D' R' U2 R' for U but instead FRURUF), so it's efficient 2-look at least.

Roux is so much fun, I've never had this much fun cubing since I learned LBL

Haven't updated in a while. My life has been crazy busy and I've had 0 time for cubing, so while I'm always playing with a cube I haven't done any timed solves till my last post. Finally have a little time to practice, started with an 3x3 Ao12 (Roux) but I'm hoping to at least do an Ao50 tonight:

Forgot to post this last night, here are the results of last night's Ao50:

My problems are pretty much the same as before, I'm just doing everything a little faster. My lookahead has improved but my LSE is still awful and my SB is mostly CFOP

Also I did a few CFOP solves just because I don't want to be awful when I come back and got this:
