I wasn't aware there was a standard way to 2 look PLL...? I think I actually end up doing corners first most of the time. Why do we do 2 look PLL for mega with edges first?

I actually did corners ->edges when I did 2-look PLL, so it's not unheard of. I think the main reason is that you can do corners after edges intuitively, so that order requires fewer algorithms. Why do we do 2 look PLL for mega with edges first?
Yep, I know like 4 PLL algs for megaminx, most of them used for edge permutation, then I do intuitive cornersI actually did corners ->edges when I did 2-look PLL, so it's not unheard of. oh, I didn't know anyone did.I actually did corners ->edges when I did 2-look PLL, so it's not unheard of. I think the main reason is that you can do corners after edges intuitively, so that order requires fewer algorithms.
learn some 4lll and buy a yuhu v2 mSo I’m just starting megaminx, and I’m pretty slow I still use beginners, and was wondering where I should go to get at least a little faster, not too speedy, and not too much to learn since Im mainly focusing on 3x3. I know I could definetly be faster in my second two layers, but don’t know how to start. Also, I’m using a megaminx that I believe is a shengshou. Would I benefit from a new cube? Thanks!
Yeah, a Yuhu v2m is definitely a good investment. For S2L, use Westlund order and try to solve the pieces like F2L pairs. Generally, it's best to pair up the pieces before moving them to their slot. If you don't know Westlund order, the CubeSkills videos teach it well, and that's a good place to learn efficiency and stuff too.So I’m just starting megaminx, and I’m pretty slow I still use beginners, and was wondering where I should go to get at least a little faster, not too speedy, and not too much to learn since Im mainly focusing on 3x3. Scrambling notation???I am new to megaminx any tips for teaching how to read notation
No the notation for solves. As I said I am brand new to megaminx and just got my first one today.Scrambling notation???
Megaminx reconstructions aren't common since its such a long involved solve, but for the most part, standard 3x3 notation for moves and rotations applies. If you're looking for LL algs, you'll see things like "BR" and "BL" and those refer to the "back right" and "back left" faces. For double turns, you'll also need to pay attention to if they go clockwise or counterclockwise, since that matters on megaminx. No the notation for solves. I have all four and imo the best is the dayan, followed by yuhu, followed by galaxy v2, followed by gan. The galaxy isn't bad by any means, so you don't need to get a new puzzle unless you really want to, but I recommend people to buy the dayan if they can afford it or the yuhu if they can't. The gan has awful grip and should not be used by anyone.Haven’t heard about Dayan megaminx thanks for the info
Thanks for the info I will take that into consideration the next time I order a megaminx.I have all four and imo the best is the dayan, followed by yuhu, followed by galaxy v2, followed by gan.
