Well it's taken over 40 years for this to be mass produced but finally it's here. Sold as a 4 layer Pyraminx and available for $20- http://tinyurl.com/MasterPyraminx

That's cool, I remember talking with a cubing friend back in the 80's about the possibility of this puzzle existing.

It's not going to be long before one of the "What new puzzle should be WCA legal?" threads gets bumped with this as the newest suggestion....

I couldn't get any success out of the tinyurl redirect thing, but a quick search reveals it's made by Shengshou, and here's a link to it:

Ooh, I would actually love for this to be official, not that I've ever solved one.

I wonder what methods will be developed for this, or if many people will even try speedsolving this

The current construction does not allow a stickerless version.

If Shengshou doesn't come with it's own stickerless version I guess someone else will, depending on the success and demand of this product.

I got one today. Squeaks a bunch on one axis before doing anything (louder than any sound I've heard from a puzzle). 2nd layer is very smooth. 3rd layer has a bit more friction. One of the tips is stiffer than the others. It doesn't really have an alignment mechanism.
