M slices: yay or nay?

[Alex DiTuro]

I'm pretty bad at M slices. What about you guys?

[Pedro]

I like them
I use them on H perm and bld, to flip edges and some edge cycles

[fanwuq]

YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
U,H,Z, all M slice PLL!
Roux method!

[Jacco]

Yay ofcourse, H perm is my fastest Perm.

[Swordsman Kirby]

I'm waiting for Erik to post in here...

I'm fine with M's as long as the algorithms aren't ridiculously long.

[Lofty]

I like the M slice. If I didn't love OH so much I would definitely learn M heavy algs like ELL or maybe just Roux.

[alexc]

I love M! I recently switched to this alg for a clockwise edge cycle: M2' U' M' U2 M U' M2. It is much faster than my old one, my best single with it is 1.16 and average is in the 1.3-1.4 range.

[KConny]

I switched to M versions of my H and Z after starting doing M2 BLD. I now I love M.

[Gunnar]

I voted nay!

I have never figured out how to do the M-turns as fast as most of you can. I do the H-perm in like 2s with M-turns.

[Arget]

I love M2 slices. H is one of my fastest perms behind 3 cycles

[Dene]

I put "Doesn't Matter" although I'm not particularly good with the M slice.

[PatrickJameson]

M slice all the way for me.

[Steve]

ugh i hate M slices. I only use it for H perm. and I hate H perm

[Erik]

M slice moves FTW
If I can use M then I do M
I use them for: U perms (from the front and back), Z, H, and some ELL's although I planned most ELL's as non-slice moves since it would be a pain with OH or big cubes

[YourClone]

I can't my ring finger to go as fast as I would like it to, so I just use r2 R2'.
