Only 3 Cubes left, they are flying off the shelf. Literally. They are so well lubed that the slightest breeze sends them sailing, and they are smashing themselves to bits all over the place. So grab yours today! (well don't grab them, they might squirt out of your hands and put your eye out and I'm not insured against lawsuits).

I want my cubes to fly ;_;
I WILL PAY WITH THE DOLAR BILS U GET WITH THE GAME MUNOOPLOY!!!!!!1

If those were worth for real money, I'd so buy every board off the shelves and donate the board.

Go for it, its quick and easy to do.

This was initially intended as a PM to emolover. But I couldn't help sharing my early impressions concerning these hybrids with the rest of the community, being as excited as I am about one of them (and being the apparent attention whore that I am too). Sorry for the long post (long post yet again) and for the personalization in the post. Please proceed;

PM to be, but never was:

"Hey bro, how's it going?
How was your day?...cool :) (that's me assuming your day was good, sorry for the assumption ;)).

So I swapped the pieces and man...this is weird to say the least...both donor cubes are stickerless versions to keep things fair;

1. LingYun core + GuHong pieces : the LingYun core is smaller than the GuHong core, so the centers are recessed at around about 0.5mm in relation to the rest of the pieces. It feels awkward at first but not cumbersome. It's still a GuHong...but better? A big difference to say the least :) It sounds different too, it sounds and feels slightly clickier now, but not in a bad way. I can "feel" the GuHong pieces better than on a standard GuHong (if that makes sense). It seems more precise/ accurate. Hard to explain...and I could swear that it turns faster.

2. LingYun pieces + GuHong core : feels the same as a LingYun but as if somebody pulled the brakes slightly. And it no longer corner cuts very well :( I don't utilize corner cutting much in my solves, so that doesn't bother me. Other than that, not much difference on this one.

I need to test these two more. These are just my first impressions. The big question being; "Do they pop?". Neither have yet :tu:tu The GuHong pieces + LingYun core are a big improvement over the standard GuHong IMO. FTW! The LingYun pieces + the GuHong core still add up to a LingYun, but without the corner cutting that a pure LingYun is capable of. It still locks less than the GuHong pieces + LingYun core. With "locks" I mean ever so slight locking ;).

So first impressions;

The GuHong pieces + LingYun core combo is better than the latter combo IMO.
I'll keep you updated. Thanks for the tip btw, the GuHong pieces + LingYun core combo is something that you should promote more IMO, good find :) :tu

Sleep tight!
Regards,

H."

Sleep tight to the rest of you too ;)
