I'll provide a little insight on the view curves.

The first screenshot attached is of a recent short, the second is a long form video.

While the regular video only has around a quarter of the short, the view curve shows more growth over time, versus the short being popular right away and falling off quickly.

Correct. As i have somewhere mentioned previously, me and 2 of my friends created a Minecraft channel to see how easy it was to make successful shorts. We got over 4 thousand views on every short we posted. However, once it got to that point, it doesn't gain any significant viewers from then onwards. Additionally- views on shorts are hardly as significant or meaningful, neither do they get substantial subscriptions (most of the time).

But remember, my most viewed short has 7.5K views, I wonder if you can beat that?
I have 91 subs you have less than 50 lol.

For the people confused on who hth1 is: his actual username is h1t1. He is also known as John Casterline, and is known for making shorts on a variety of topics while in the void (people call his background the void because it's pretty much pitch black in every video)

While this is the case most of the time, it isn't always true. This is the analytics page for a non cubing related channel I created that currently has no videos and one short with 9.3k views. The view count didn't spike up like with other shorts; it kept climbing over the course of a few days. However, it still did eventually peak and then have a lower amount of views every day.

The audio that is used is also boosted by the algorithm because of the popularity and usage patterns of it.
I know, I've made in the past some shorts that made thousands of views every single one, but yea the music is just popular, and some people maybe just watched the video for the music
