J perm question....

yeah brunson, that is a great j perm, but like sloths said, we're talking about the other one. i agree with your assessment though, it should be even fast than the t perm, but my times are about even with them.
Ah, I don't differentiate between mirrors. :-) For the other, I use: (L' U' L F) (L' U' L U) (L F' R2 U L U)

I can also do my T-perm ambidextrously, saves a cube rotation or a couple of AUFs during PLL.

I've been using Dan Harris' Jperm with my own axis turn...:(

(R U') L' (U R') (z) R2 U R' (U' R2) U

note: It's kinda like Nakajima's J, but i found his R U' at the end too awkward to perform

here's mine, it just feels really cool to perform, and I think it can be sub-1 with enough practice

L' U R' (f) R2 U R' U' R2 U (f') R U'
stuff in ()s are cube rotations, but they don't really happen....

start out with the left hand kind of under the cube and the thumb on the middle sticker of the F face. flick the L' with your left index finger and do the cube rotation while doing the R' turn. the middle bit can be performed without any regrips, so w00t. then the last 2 turns are done with the thumb, the cube rotation is just an approximation.
Yeah I think that Yu Nakajima can do that algorithm in about 0.7 seconds which is about 15tps. I can't get the ending really fluently so I kind of changed it and I like it better. Here's my version:

(L' U R') z (R2 U R' U' R2) (U D R')

yeah the last R U' at the end seems to give people problems. it seems a lot more natural now, but i only figured out about a month ago that the last 2 turns could be done with the thumb.

edit: it has also led to a fairly decent N permutation

(R' U' R) L' U R' z R2 U R' U' R2 U z' R U' (R' U R)

whoa, thanks a lot guys!

LoS and Dene- i love yours!!!
cant decide which one to use tho... i think i might go with Dene's because its easier for me to perform.

but thanks to everyone who helped me with my problem!! :D:D
