Petrus is said to be the second-most popular speedsolving method on many sites. But over the last year or so, there has been a lot of discussion about and conversions to Roux. So, what's your opinion. And don't forget to vote. The results should be interesting.

I'm fairly sure Petrus is still much more popular. It's just there aren't as many forum-active speedsolvers using it. It's a fairly popular beginners method, 2000 hits a day for just Lars' tutorial.

I think there are probably still more people using Petrus as their main method than there are using Roux as a main method. But I think there are almost certainly more people who can do Petrus in general, since it is a bit simpler for people who use CFOP as their primary method to add as a second method (concept is similar: built the first two layers then solve the last layer, which of-course can be done with the same algs as CFOP).

All right, results are in (keep voting though). Roux wins - for now at least! But yeah, it is true that the speedsolving forum doesnt contain all cubers. However this community does contain most fast cubers, so Roux-ers can brag that they are the second-most popular among competitive cubers.

I don't think this poll will give a correct answer because many cubers that started in like 2003 to say 2007 are using Petrus but most of them are not so active in this forum or goes to comps on regular basis.

Columns that I use you can say is a variant of Roux (but also a variant of CF, that Roux also is, columns is it more because it does not solve any centres and only 4 instead of 6 edges in the first part) so I voted Roux but it is not 100% true =)

pfft petrus has such a small pool of fast cubers. it's just Erik J. :p

(Is there anyone sub 13 other than Erik with Petrus?)

Johannes Laire (well, not in comp)

Viktor Björkholm, not sub 13 but pretty fast.
