Is it worth it to learn all of OLL

It did make me average 25s with 2L OLL to 20s with 1L OLL. Just learn the cases by classes. (e.g. Corners only, Edges only, Knight move) etc.
Sometimes it also helps to group them according to the result you get if you do the alg on the solved cube.
E.g: If you do a fat sune on the cube you get the Square, you solve this with a fat antisune and if you do the antisune again you get the lighning bolt with L on the side which is solved with the fat sune you started with.

This way you can practice a pair of oll over and over.

i average 14's but im an idiot so theres like, literally 2 olls i dont know, im too lazy to learn them lol, but i agree it is a lot faster

I also have some which make me real trouble. For me its the line with lines on the side and one of the dot cases.
Usually i can do them but from time to time I stop in the middle of the alg and cant remember the rest
This shouldn't happen at a comp (but in the last comp it did o_O)

In OH, this also happens with some Knight moves because i've learned them as lefty and had to relearn them.

Of course it's not worth it. Why do you think there are only 3 or 4 people in the whole world who know full OLL?

It's really telling that the two people in this thread who say they'd learnt full OLL have either quit cubing entirely or switched to a method that doesn't use full OLL.
??? there are so many people who have learned full OLL and I will say that it can look like a lot but it is so much worth it, in the long run, it can save you 3+ seconds. especially considering how fast you can learn it its worth

Statistically speaking, if this thread's posters are representative of cubers in general, half of those people no longer cube (e.g. ruffleduck) and the other half know/knew OLL but don't use it (e.g. Mastermind2368). How could anyone recommend OP to learn full OLL in good conscience?

I myself know full OLL, but how often do I get to use it? I swear I've only ever used like 10 different OLL algs in my best event, maybe even fewer.

Yes, I'm just joking around. See other replies for serious answers. Also I just realised Mastermind2368 didn't explicitly say whether they learnt full OLL but shh, let me make my stupid joke in peace.

Fair point honestly. I did actually learn full OLL, and it was when I averaged 50 seconds. For some reason I though I wasn't a true speedcuber or something unless if I was using full CFOP, so I falsely peer-pressed myself into learning the alg set. With that sense of peer pressure, I found it wasn't that bad to learn all the algs and I stayed motivated.

So the moral of the story is, if you have motivation to learn algs and you plan on using CFOP for the long run, it's probably worth it. Otherwise, maybe not.

I would argue it's worth it to learn OLL for one main reason. You can learn algorithms while you have some free time, and don't have anything better to do. I am learning ZBLL, and I have learned some algs while waiting for an appointment, waiting in a long line, etc.

You can learn algorithms from your phone using this tool

By the way, I created this tool, so if you try it let me know if you have any questions or ideas

how does that work?
sometimes you do a 11.xy avg100 and then you do a 17.xy avg100?
Just to clarify I work my averages out in an ao5 format like in some comps.
Over the last 100 or so of these blocks of 5 my I'm getting between 18 and 12 as an average.
over those 500 solves it would be somewhere in the middle, I use this format as I'm trying to constantly
improve and using a smaller data set allows me to track improvements as I learn a new alg.
Hope that clears it up, one last thing, my PB in all of this data is 7.8 which was amazing, OLL and PLL skip
unfortunately I also had quiet a few plus 20s in there as well :(
