Is it easier to learn CLL/EG or practice Ortega?

Hello,
I've learnt Ortega and I'm currently learning CLL. I tried to do some solves using Ortega and I see that most of my times are slower than the CLL cases I already know. I've only learnt a few CLL algorithms (Sune case) and my question now is if I should learn the rest of CLL and then EG-1 and 2 or if I should practice Ortega? It seems like the Ortega way would be harder even though there are less algorithms to memorize.
Thanks in advance :D

Don't try to learn all EG at once, learn CLl and practice with it until you have improved all you can, and then you move on to eg-1 and then eg-2 if you really want to get into 2x2

Ok thank you. I'll see how it goes. I'll start working on more CLL algs today. I average about 7-10 seconds on a solve with CLL but my cube can crank up a bit since it's not lubed. But I'll try to get better at it and maybe eventually buy a better cube.
Thanks

Definitely learn CLL. It is not that hard to learn the algorithms and get sub 3. The only hard part is recognizing cases, but even that is pretty easy. Also, learning CLL means that you learn a whole new subset for 3x3, which is COLL. Just learn CLL because if you eventually are going to learn full EG then you will need to know CLL and it will be nice to not have to worry about that.

Thanks, I'll keep learning CLL then. My cube is kinda slow but I might get sub 4 or sub 5 with it.
