I've learned the 3 basic Fridrich F2L cases with the c/e pair on top (white on top of corner, opposite colors on top of c/e pair, same colors on top of c/e pair), and when I solve I get a pair on top, split it up if need be, then pair it on put it in. Would any time be significantly saved if I learned the algorithms on Dan's cube station? Are there any cases in particular that should be learned that would take long otherwise (I particularly wonder about the ones where I split up a joined pair to get the same color case, that takes a bit longer for me)?
What's the best way to practice the cross? I take way too long with it and I feel I am doing something wrong.
