hey, i am a begginer in cubing and i am very interested in the hobby.
I don't understand quite why the the part of the friedrich method called intuitive F2L? Doesn't intuitive mean using just common sense? But to solve the F2L the friedrich way you would have to just memorize a bunch of Algs.. so why is it called intuitive when nothing is common sense, just memorizing?
Also the 2-3-4 look LL move is part of the Friedrich method correct?

thanks

Intuitive F2L isn't about memorizing algorithms! It is about using common sense. You shouldn't try to memorize them as algorithms. Try checking out this page, http://www.snkenjoi.com/wikicube/index.php...e=Intuitive_F2L. That page teaches you six algorithms but don't try to just memorize them, try and understand how they work, and be able to use those basic cases to solve the other cases.

Yes; two, three, and four look LL is part of Fridrich. If you know full Fridrich it will be a 2-look LL.

as a beginner you learn stuff that solves one piece at a time. when you get more used to it you begin to do it by logic.

same thing in Fridrich F2L. Intutiv means that you do it by logic.
intuitiv F2L also means that you dont go by a sheet of best possible solutions but solve it the way you like.

the best way to learn the basic principles of Fridrich is to play with it on your own. then gradually add upgrades to "your" system by checking solutions on various sites.

indeed you can call it algs but its not exactly "black box" moves as you can move pices optimally in the layer where your "dont care" pieces are (intuitivly).

I hope this clears up things a bit

Currently I use the Keyhole Method w/ intutive C/E pairing. Basically a complete intuitive F2L package except for the last part where I insert one edge then use a ZBF2L alg to finish off. I'm lazy so I just practice empty-slotting and keyhole F2L which is has gotten me fast times and is getting me a lot of times in the 20s. If you want to get fast with intutive F2L I just suggest to practice, practice, practice.

Intuitive methods for F2L are as fast as the user is. Just like with LL. Your LL is as quick as how many algs you know for PLL and OLL. The fastest is the 2-look while 3/4-look are fast they won't get you as fast as you will be by practicing all 21 algs. So practice everything to death.
