So last Saturday my band and I were involved in a car accident. Due to the landscape and greenery along the road, poor vision led to us being unable to see a Stop sign. In result we (going about 40 mph) were t-boned by a car going 60 mph. After spinning 360 degrees and rolling off the road, we eventually stopped, upside-down. Despite us all wearing seat-belts at the time, one of us was thrown out the back windshield, landing several yards away from the vehicle. Miraculously, there were no major injuries.

Here is where speed-cubing comes in. My 5x5x5 had been sitting on the floor in front of me (I was front passenger), and was projected into my leg during the collision. The cube actually cut all the way through my skin and into my calf muscle, leaving a cut in the perfect shape of a cube.

The doctors at the hospital told me it was the first Rubik's Cube related accident they've ever seen. Has anyone else experienced an injury related to cubing?

Probably. It's a cut with a ninety-degree angle in it. The 5x5x5 had been on the floor in front of me, so I determined it to be the culprit. There were a few lapses in my memory from the accident, which led me to think I passed out for a period. After a second examination of the vehicle, I found a large crack in the windshield directly in front of my seat...I think I hit my head on the windshield (the airbag was disabled) and was knocked out from that.

I am proud to say that no Rubik's Cubes were harmed in the accident.

Ouch! That must've hurt. Well, I would like to say I have hadan injury cause twice from a 3x3. Although it wasn't anything as epic as your accident, it has left some marks on my body. I usually keep my cube in my pocket when walking around so one day, I sat down at my desk during 1st period, and I had forgotten to take my cube out of my pocket. Somehow, the edge moved a little and stabbed my thigh. It left a bruise, nothing bad though. Another injury was from my own stupidity :o I was at school competing with my friend and the cube slipped out of my hand and hit me in the face. Again, nothing epic.
