how should i move to fridrich

Learn some LL until you're about 50 seconds, then go for intuitive F2L.

I just switched to the Fridrich method a couple of months ago. Here is what I have done in the last few months:

I learned the 6 or so cross-based OLL's. That way, all I had to do was make a cross (using FURU'R'F' or something similar) and then I could orient the last layer.

I learned all of the PLL's.

Then, I learned how to solve the F2L intuitively. I watched badmehpisto's videos on youtube.

Yeah, then I just practiced a lot and I just started getting sub-40 times earlier this week!!!

Morning gents, I was in your situation not long ago myself so I know where you're coming from.

I'm currently learning the lazy 4LLL method of Fridrich and found a really good site which will help you go from LBL to Fridrich.

http://badmephisto.dyndns.org/site/

That guy is a legend with a very easy to follow style of teaching. Have a browse there and it'll get you started.

Oh and a quick tip - Make sure you stick with intuitive F2L. It WILL start out quite slow, but once you pick up speed, you'll be flying. Patience is the key.

Cheers

How the hell did you get 47 seconds with the beginners method? I use the Fridrich method and my PB is 43...

Erik can do sub-20 with layer by layer and 4LLL, so 47 isn't too big.

And he can do it in 7 seconds with an advanced method. That means the beginner's method is MUCH slower. That was my point. But I see that fundash got a very lucky solve there, so that makes sense.
