The way I'm learning it is: F2L intuitively, then a 2 Look OLL, and learning all the PLL's First. This way from the Top Layer I'll go from:
4LLL (2 OLL, 2 PLL)
3LLL (2 OLL, 1 PLL) (I might learn a few OLL's Along the way with practice)
2LLL (1 OLL, 1 PLL)
I'm going with PLL first because there are less algorithms to learn (lazy??)
With luck I'll pick up all the F2L, and a couple OLL's intuitively, and will hopefully be learning the fastest PLL's I can find (not necessarily the ones with the smallest amount of moves, just the ones that can be done VERY fast).
I Started with the "Dan Brown" Beginner method and got pretty good at it I think (69.72 seconds)... but quickly switched to the Jasmine Lee Beginner method which is much better, most (if not all) of the Lee algorithms, are used in full CFOP and the Lee method is expandable into a full CFOP method. (The Lee method only has 10ish algorithms, 2 of them are Sune and Anti-Sune... Same as Dan Brown, but used for corners like it should be... instead of edges like Dan uses them.) Once I got Lee's method figured out, I shaved a full 10 seconds off my time in a very short time.
I was impressed... but I want faster (doesn't everyone??)
