How long does it take to learn speed solving?

Learn how to solve the entire cube, then improve from there. I learned from the video on the Rubik's website, and I would recommend this video if you plan to use CFOP. After that practice until you are around sub-1 min. Then learn 2-look PLL. Then practice a lot, and learn intuitive F2L, only use algorithms for tricky cases. Badmephisto's F2L videos are very helpful.
