in addition to all the great points mentioned above, i'll add one that worked for me:
go slow. slow is smooth, smooth is fast. (ik this sounds contradictory, but hear me out)
instead of spamming moves trying to get to the end faster, look for more efficient solutions. lookahead, prediction, etc. instead of pausing after each part of a solve, try to solve it in one, continuous motion (idk how to explain this in a better way, it's basically just a half and half of solving while predicting what the next pair/OLL/PLL is going to look like (tracking, i think it's called? idk my terms)).
as for practice, try making different sessions for different parts of a solve. eg -> i have a dedicated session to just F2L and PLL, and i dedicate at least ~30-40 mins of my total practice time each day to these sessions. otherwise, i'll try and learn new algs and better fingertricks.
i really don't know what else to add other than the fact that you should also do targeted practice sometimes, and something i've learnt: do like mock tests of all the algs you've learned at least at the end of each week, that way you can spam algs and it helps with muscle memory.
good luck!
