First off, I don't use this method and I'm not particularly fond of it either. I've had the idea for a few months now and I've been practising it seriously for a couple of weeks but I just didn't like it. Just thought I should post it in case someone's interested, or generates a better idea off of this one.

What are the two smallest subsets of ZBLL? The PLL cases, and the Double Sune cases, due to symmetry. So this was my idea: Learn all of the Double Sune ZBLLs. Now go back and relook all of your OLLs (or CLS or WV or COLL or whatever your step before PLL is), see any algs you hate? Change it to something you like better, because now you have more freedom for your last step. That's it. That's the idea.

I know(*) all of the 2-gen Double Sune ZBLL cases (which are particularly easy to recognize and execute) and learned some other random easy ones. I don't see anything wrong with this method if you're willing to learn all the Double Sune ZBLL cases, which are not that many anyway. I just couldn't get used to it and I don't see it helping me decrease my times significantly, that's all.

(*)Notice I said know, instead of learned. That's because everyone knows them, you just don't know that you know. Most of them are just (Double (Sunes/Antisunes and mirrors)) and one of them is just my BLD CO alg.

Don't make such bold statements if you're going to be wrong. I don't know any 2gen corner-orientation algorithm and will probably never bother to learn one.

You really don't know Sune?

Ha.

I guess I should've been more precise and said that I don't know any 2gen *pure corner-orientation* algorithms.

(R U)35. That one really is 2 types of moves, too.

Do you mean change it to something you like better that results in a double sune orientation?
Yes.

Sune/Antisune + U perm? Double Sune + U perm? Sorry but I really don't get it. What was so bold and what was so wrong about it?

You made the bold statement that "everyone knows them," with them being the 2gen double-sune ZBLLs in one algorithm each. This is blatantly not true, even for me (and especially for people who know fewer 3x3 algs than I do, i.e. probably most of speedsolving). There are a lot of cubers out there who don't go around memorizing tons of algs, just the ones they need to be fast. Incidentally, the algorithms you listed are all more than one part... obviously I'd be *able* to solve that case in real life, but if you just do OLL + EPLL it's not really ZBLL, is it? Sure, I could DO a sune and a U-perm, but that's not a single algorithm and I wouldn't be able to do it blindfolded without thinking about what edges to cycle. Might as well just use the (RUR'U')2 commutator that I always use.
