Do Aussies actually use the term 'Down Under'? I'm not sure...

anyway, hello everyone, I've been getting into cubing for a few weeks now after getting a YJ Guanlong. Slowly getting faster with the beginner's method, and learning a few algorithms of the 4-look last layer. I currently average 1.15 with the 3x3, with a few occasional sub-1min times. My next goal is to average below 1 min.

I'm looking forward to being on this forum after lurking for a while.

Just a few small questions:
- When should I start learning more advanced methods (like F2L etc)?
- When should I start thinking about getting one of the better 3x3s?

Hey! Welcome to the forums. I would say to learn F2L as soon as you think you are ready and have a good understanding of the cube and your GuanLong isn't a bad cube, so you don't NEED to switch unless you think it isn't working for you.

Hello! Hope you enjoy the forums! :-)
I just have one thing when it comes to "advanced methods"- look at all of then and don't just blindly choose CFOP. You could also look at some more obscure methods if you want as well like PCMS, Snyder 2, M-CELL, SSC, CFCE etc

Do I use the term down under. Not really. I wouldn't need to use it often. We wouldn't talk about it much (as in like "where are you from, mate", "Oh, down under")

You are so much like me! I've been cubing for 2 months, you live down under like me, I avg. sub 60 and want to get under 45 sec.
Just two questions? how old are you and what Aussie city do you live in? I'm 12 and I live in Sydney.
