Help with school assignment!

Honestly, I wouldn't overthink it too much. Pretty much anything you take as an obvious cubing fact would be something that most people don't know. That being said, here are some facts that could be easy to understand for non-cubers.
  • The Rubik's Cube has 43 quintillion possibilities, yet each scramble can be solved in 20 moves or less.
  • Rubik's Cube competitions are held in many countries. Unlike many competitive hobbies, most of these competitions place an emphasis on the community rather than being super competitive.
  • The world record for solving the Rubik's Cube blindfolded is 12.78 seconds. This includes memorizing the "solution."

Hey everyone! I’m working on an assignment for my composition class. I have to come up with 6 things about one topic that people don’t typically know. I would like to do “6 things about cubing/cubers,” and I’d love some ideas. Thanks!

-There are about 43 quintillion combinations on the rubik's cube

-There exists a theoretical algorithm knows as the "devil's algorithm" that is a sequence of moves, that when repeated will go through every position and return to the initial position, thus solving the cube somewhere along the way. However, due to the number of positions on the rubik's cube, this algorithm is very long, hence the name.

-The world record is 3.475 seconds, which is held by Yusheng Du and has been held for 4 years.

-Approximately 5.8% of people can solve a rubik's cube

-They're is an organization which hosts competitions for the rubik's cube known as the World Cube Association, of which about 175,000 people have officially competed in

-Any rubik's cube can be solved in 20 moves or less. (Assuming turning a side twice counts as 1 move.) This is known as "god's number."

EDIT: Grammar mistakes

What percent of the population can solve a Rubik's Cube in under 10 seconds.
