[Help Thread] HELP My Rubik's 4x4x4 Fell Apart... - pTr

I was turning a Rubik's 4x4 and a piece popped. Some dumbass kept turning it and now it's in a pile of 99 pieces (including the core) on my bed. I stayed up till 11:30 trying to rebuild it, and now I'm here.

have you tried googling it or searching on youtube how to assemble it?

I had a few different 4x4 in the past but never tried to disassemble or assemble any of it

I have zero idea how to put it back together. Honestly, I think that if you keep trying, parts of the pieces will start breaking off which makes it impossible to put back together. This is what happened to me with my Rubik's brand 4x4. Sorry, but it's true.

I use tape when putting complex cubes back together, and it saved me a ridiculous amount of time when reassembling my 7x7. I'll put in edges and corners, then apply tape across multiple pieces to hold them together. I'm sure a similar technique could be applied to this.

4x4 is not too bad to assemble. Just go through a tutorial and patiently put it together. @Clock_Enthusiast 's tape suggestion is very helpful for holding things together as you work, but I think 4x4 is simple enough such that you don't need it, unless you really are not confident.

this method helped me fix my meilong 4x4 non magnetic that has been in pieces for months

I will say though, I have almost zero patience and kept crashing out on my 4x4 when I was trying to assemble it after it popped, probably the only reason it took multiple hours.

Fix it again. Also, try loosening the tension, or if it's already pretty loose tighten it. Small adjustments help to figure out if you are doing the right thing, and when checking if you like the setting it's at turn slowly so it doesn't pop again.
