How many know algorithm subsets are there for 3x3? This is not meant to be a thread to help recommend what 3x3 alg sets to learn, rather I am just curious to see how many 3x3 alg subsets are know of. Ill start off with the most common and well known ones. Feel free to add any subsets that I did not list, and also feel free to add new alg subsets as they are discovered, or remembered.

1) OLL
2) PLL
3) COLL
4) ZBLL
5) VLS
6) OLLCP
7) CMLL
8) Advanced f21
9) BLE
10) CLS

Algorithm subsets for which method? LMCF and Waterman alone have dozens upon dozens of sets that don't overlap other methods. If you add other obscure methods there would be hundreds of sets.

zbls, magic wondeful, tripod ll, lse?, ell, cll, epll, and like 50 other weird ones, look at this pic which shows a last layer "hierarchy" up to 1lll

That is pretty neat I haven't seen or heard of a bunch of those subsets before
There are a ton of weird random algs...people can just gen their own alg subset for like solving the last cross piece and then oll or some weird thing, its just whether the algs are useful or not, but i like the idea of finding every alg set ever created. But i somehow think this thread is familiar... i think this can be found on the wiki

There are 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 states on the cube. This means there are 2^43,252,003,274,489,856,000 subsets of these states.
You guys are both right but I am asking how many subsets are known that I could learn right now if I wanted to. I don't think anybody will be learning one look whole cube subset any time soon lol.

the thing is about subsets that there's way too many already genned subsets to count
EPLLs are a subset of PLLs,which is a sub set of ZBLL,which is a subset of 1LLL
plus learning some subsets will make others redundant (i.e CPLLs will be useless if you always use COLL)

Good point. I guess this thread is kind of pointless besides the fact that at least I have learned a lot from people that know more than me
