I just stumbled across a review of a gaming glove

This should warm and compress hands and wrists for a better gaming performance in e-sports

I don't really know if this is smart or stupid but do you think that could also help for cubing?
Would it be allowed to cube with gloves?

In my first comp, we were in an unheated hall in december. I guess in this case it would have been useful.
I had my (normal) gloves on the whole day except of my solves.

But that was an exception. Usually it is too warm rather than too cold at competitions

I don’t think that would be helpful. A lot of finer movement in fingertricks comes from flexibility of the fingers, especially in fast events like 2x2, Skewb, Pyraminx, and to some extent 3x3. On slower events, having less finger speed is not as important. I’d think 1-2 electronic handwarmers should do the trick just as well as these, if you need them at all (Since I main 2x2, I will bring some for my cold hands)

In my experience, cold hands are more likely to happen when you're nervous. I feel doing more outdoor cardio exercise, especially in winter, helps to control this because not only do you get more used to cooler weather, but you also get to improve your breathing and circulation and therefore also your ability to relax.

Most cubing events are short enough that traditional hand warmers (the kind you squeeze in your hands) should be enough

I'm not good at cubing but I was decent at a physically demanding rhythm game (osu) and warmed up hands made a huge difference

Staying on the theme of physical - I forgot to mention that one of the ways I like to keep my entire body (and therefore also my hands) warm is to be a cube runner for at least a couple of groups before my group. Usually I won't sit down until it's one group before I'm on, and I'll often choose to sit and judge near the fixed station that I'll be competing at.

I wonder what MBLDers will use, since handwarmers are a temporary solution.

Maybe wearing magma gloves 5 min before exec is a valid idea to run with.

Not that I can call myself a mblder - I've previously made the mistake of not wearing warm enough clothing in sparsely-populated air-conditioned rooms. Sitting in the same place for up to an hour can lead to feeling colder towards the end of an attempt, despite feeling warm at the start of the attempt.
