So it’s a new year, which means it’s a good time to turn around habits for the better and become a better person. Here are my goals:
Break procrastination habits. It will be hard, but I believe if I establish a routine with a good time limit for everything and I go to bed at a decent time, then I will be able to break that darn habit.
Finish full Megaminx PLL and grind to sub-50 and get a sub-40 single.
Finally get to the point where my 3x3 average is sub-10. I’ve struggled with this for a while, and want to proclaim myself as a sub-10 cuber after 4 1/5 years.
Get gud at the other events.
Attempt to get every attempted events in my official profile (in other words, do all of the events in comp, not at once but gradually).
Oh yeah, and beat @gsingh in my challenge with him.
I also have some personal goals that I would like to accomplish, one of them being getting good at The World’s Hardest Game and MCSR. Seeing the TAS for TWHG makes me believe that a lot of cool tricks could be applied to speedrunning I just have to do it.
Other than that it should be a good year. Happy New Year, all!

Alright, many people say that the Yuxin Little Magic is horrible, and trash, and very slow… but today, I am creating this progression thread to break the world record… with a puzzle that may be a bit slow, but with what I believe has a big chance
(Maybe I am over-exaggerating, but whatever)
Lol I’m more likely to get wr in mega than 4x4 lol. Can’t believe I wanted to do that before. Just have to grind a ton in mega and do well in comp to be world class at least.

Yo third success in twhg!

My previous run was 32:48 and 248 deaths. I hate level 25 so much.

Just a question, I average 12-13 with cfop. Been stuck there quite a while now. What did u learn to break the sub-10 barrier? I know full pll and 28/57 oll

Definitely learn full OLL. Make sure your F2L solutions and finger tricks are on point, and learn how to plan cross + 1 in inspection. Becoming dual color neutral would be great as well. After that, sub 10 should be child's play.

I’m not the guy to ask. Even tho I do have a lot of sub-10 solves, I can’t say I’m sub-10 yet even tho I want to be. However, @gsingh has already given a good answer to that question.

Can u recommend good algs for oll (like where u learnt them from)

You should definitely start planning Cross +1, at least for when you have easy crosses. You know a decent amount of OLL, and since you know about half, you might as well finish learning it, although Full OLL is not necessary to be sub-10, although recommended. The biggest thing you need however, is lookahead. Do 2-Gen, untimed solves, lots of both, and it should help your lookahead. You can also do F2L solves, where you time just your F2L. All in all, the most important thing you need to improve at is lookahead, and make sure you can recognize PLL/OLL cases from looking at just 2 sides.

Lookahead isn't that important tbh, and at the 12 - 13 second range, @Exmestify doesn't really need to do any drills to help their lookahead. Just trying to turn slower and look for pieces during solves should help. But the most important things right now are just to use good fingertricks and have good F2L efficiency, and then work on lookahead after you have taken your F2L efficiency and fingertricks to a reasonable level. Also 2-Gen practice, no matter whatever Cubehead might say, is pretty much useless in terms of helping with lookahead. The one thing it is useful for is to practice lefty turning (imo, it's really important to perfect your lefty turning, so you don't end up failing WR single like Luke Garret by doing a y2 mid solve because you can't turn with your left hand).
