As now,I can say I'm very close to a minute,my best time now is 1:02.84.And i'm using F2L(no look ahead techniques),2-look OLL,2-look PLL.And I still solve my cross on the top 5-10 sec.,mostly.My F2L-mostly 35-45 sec.(including the cross-solved).I also recorded my time every solve with the cube and with the timer(I used jnetcube timer).Mostly now,Ive got 1:20 sec. below but not less than a minute.

So what can you SUGGEST/S to me to get under a minute or even under 30 sec.? I practice and solved the cube everyday, but i didn't still practice or learn the full OLL and PLL ,and is it true that using xcross can increase your speed?..i'm not using it,but i want to learn. And I know I should practice a lot. This is my video solving the cube, using cross on top,F2L,2-look OLL and 2-Look PLL

I have made many sub-30 solves using the beginner's method. I am switching to Fridrich's method now, almost know full PLL. I would suggest learning full PLL, and really work on your F2L. My intuitive F2L is either slower, or about the same as the beginner method, because I recognize it fast enough, and am still working on the look-ahead part. With my switch and learning the PLL's, I have made a 28 second average as my personal best, and have made a couple more at the 24-25 second mark.

(in the song poker face by lady gaga style)
p-p-p-practice p-p-practice.

How long have you been playing? You really think its that easy to get fast? Learn a couple of algorithms and BAM 15 second average? Its not.

You can use the Dan Brown method to get under a min. Don't pace yourself, just keep cubing. The improvements will come naturally.

I have been just using F2L,2-look OLL and 2-Look PLL just 1 week or two week back from today.Ill do the cube!!!

Keep with it mate. I've been cubing only about 4 months so far (learning 4LLL atm as well) so I understand where you're coming from!

Just work on lookahead and turn speed. With 11-12 second F2L and 2-look OLL and PLL, you can avg. under 20 seconds.

Start by searching for (and reading) all topics where the same question has been asked and answered.
After you are done with that (might take a week or more) just keep practising/solving/learning

To get really fast you need all of these:
1) See the start of your solve (first 5 to 10 moves) during inspection
2) Do every step efficiently (not to many moves) and fast (high turnspeed, few/none cube-rotations)
3) Don't think about what you are doing, your eyes and mind should be busy figuring out what to do next while your hands are performing the movements you planned before
4) Learn lots of tricks

Practice. Look ahead. Practice. Eliminate (or at least reduce) pauses during your solve. Practice. Just doing that, you can get down to under 30 without learning new algs. Learn Fridrich. It's a good method. That Fredrich guy on the other hand doesn't really know what he's doing.

When you do decide it's time to learn new algs, PLLs are a good place to start.

Here's some things I noticed about your video.

1. Start solving cross on bottom. I'm guilty myself of doing it on top but I'm switching to bottom. it helps you look ahead on f2l.

2. Your f2l was pretty good. Maybe work on look-ahead and not pausing as much. That will help you get faster with it.

3. I think the main fault was your last layer. Do PLL time attacks so you don't forget them! It's very important to know every algorithm you use instantly right off the top of your head. They should be in your muscle memory. Also, practice your finger tricks. If you can execute your OLL's and PLL's more quickly you'll be able to solve faster.

Also, I'd start learning a few more PLL's. Start with the T, Y and J's. This will automatically make your solves faster about 1/5th of the time and those are all easy algorithms. I'm currently learning more PLL's and it has helped me get faster. I'm in a similar position to you. I'm averaging slightly under a minute but my times aren't improving very fast. But I did these things and it cut a few seconds off my time. Just keep practicing.
