Im new to this forum but i would like to know what would be the fastest or best method to solve a 3x3x3 cube or and the one you use

The world record holder uses CFOP.

There really isn't a fastest method. The world record is held using CFOP but Roux Petrus or ZZ can all be just as fast
I use CFOP for 2H and petrus for OH

this, the fastest CFOP users learn full oll and pll, some use more like coll, or even zbll and a few ollcp cases. For f2l they may use some EO control, winter varitation (generally just a few cases), vhls (also just a few cases), multislotting, x cross and some others that I cannot think of. However it is not too difficult to be sub 15 with only oll and pll. If you do not know what these terms mean, then you can look them up in the wiki.

There is no "fastest method" but if you want to go for all out speed your best bets will be CFOP and Roux (based on speedsolving average rankings)

Threads like this genuinely make me angry.

There is no best method. CFOP is the most popular. Roux, Petrus, ZZ, and Waterman are also generally considered "good" methods. Look them up in the wiki.

Nope. Just because the WR is held using cfop doesnt mean that its the fastest method. Any method can be fast if the person using it takes the time to get fast with it. If i wanted to use Roux/ZZ/Petrus i could get just as fast with it. There is no limits to any method.

(Honest Answer: Why does Speed matter so much? To be able to solve on is an accomplishment in itself. Without a method it is even more satisfying. Being able to solve Blindfolded. Thats satisfaction. learn a method simply to be able tosolve it fast? What purpose does that hold? Then your solving is robotic, without any thought. It takes away from the meaning of the Cube. This cube is meant for run and for thought and dexterity.

Learn CFOP, become the fastest in the world. Hope you do. But why learn how to solve this puzzle if you are just going to do it for the purpose of being the fastest? Why not use it for the purpose of having fun? For having a nice time?)
