Easy method for OLL and PLL?

Are you just trying to teach him how to solve a cube or is he actually a speedcuber? Because if he just wants to solve the cube, I'd recommend he learn the beginners last layer (I think that only requires like 4 algorithms). If he's speedcuber, then he could try CLL/ELL, which I believe is about 10 algs shorter.

Well, that depends on how you count the number of algs; OLL has a bunch of algs where you just use double instead of single layer turns and you can easily avoid the 4-flip cases.

You can do CP at least. I forget if EP is possible.

Okay, I think
[[A,z:A], y:[z:A,A]]
(where A = RUR'U'R'FRF')
should do an "A perm" (no pun intended). So you would just do EP first.

I want someone to actually solve a whole cube this way.
