So, I have been looking into learning a new method, but all of the methods always have memo with M1-5. This, for me is a lot of stuff to process, and I really do not wanna use one where it is using M1-5 because for me that makes memo longer and also a lot harder to learn. Should I just suck it up and learn it, or do I just stick with the method I am using? Thanks!

7-Simul is always tricky at first, though the bpaul variant is much simpler. Honestly, either of these methods are fine, so just continue persevering; it took me about 20 solves before I got my first success, and took multiple ~weekly breaks before relearning it, and I eventually got it. If you don't want to learn a memo method, learn 10mm, it's quite a cool method, or just stick with Flip and grind out solves.

Thank you for your help! I just learned 10mm. My first solve was a 41. Better than my first clock solve lmao.
my first clock solve was 7 minutes
Honestly I think I enjoy 10mm more. I agree, very cool method. I think I will stick to 10mm.

i used to use 10mm too, got very good but now switching to 7simul

All of the good methods nowadays use M1-5 (or in my case, M1-6) which in some cases, are really easy to learn and execute properly. I use BPaul 7-simul flip, which uses 6 letters for memo. However, the first and second halves of the memo phase use exactly the same clocks, except on the opposite side, making this one of, if not the easiest variant of 7-simul to exist. I learned this almost exactly 1 year ago, and I now have a sub-4 average with it, so I would highly recommend switching to this method.

Here's a video to help you get started with learning this method:

Trust me, nobody is instantly perfect at 7-Simul memo. Advanced methods difficult hard for a reason. It took me days to get the method down, then multiple comps before I could use it without DNFing. If you want to do clock at a serious level, I would recommend putting the time in rather than learning a different less optimal method. But if you don't really prioritize about clock results, I don't think 7-Simul is as important.
