How does this work ? I saw them but the they plates/tiles are clear.

Are they easy to put together ? I was considering purchasing them because they are considerably cheaper than the regular Rubik's ones, which I can't even find in stores.

How many plates/tiles is the regular magic, and how many is the mastermagic?

6/12 ?

I'd really appreciated if someone can explain this to me.

I didn't find another thread on this, but if there is, please redirect me.

On a standard Magic, there are 16 half-tiles strung together to make 8 panels :) and on the Master Magic there are 24 half tiles strung together to make 12 panels :) i would recommend getting a store bought magic first as DIY magics ARE hard to put together, and unless you've done this stringing 100 times, Chances are, it's not going to be stable, and it could fall apart easily (this happens to me a lot since I've only done 3 restringings) Also, Chinese DIY Magics are slightly thicker than Store bought magics, which I don't like at all.

Thanks for the websites!

What about the rings, where do they come from ?

Yeah, talk to Charles H about restringing magics... ;) He broke his about 10 times a month after he got it.

Depends what fishing line you use :) You could use nylon Monofilament which a generally thicker, stretches (good for magics) and is cheap, Braid with is Ultra-Thin, Has no stretch(snaps as soon as it reaches the rating of LB's), and is expensive, but finding joiners is hard.

Oh, and never forget double stringing:)

I'd just buy a couple of regular magics off Rubiks.com.
