The MF8 Skewby Copter Plus actually blows all of the "normal" curvy copters out of the water.

* The skewb cuts on it are quite tight out of the box (it can be fixed with regular tensioning), but the copter turns are incredible. Very light, swooshy, and overall very pleasant. If you're not interested in the skewb cuts, you can just tighten them to be almost unmovable, and the copter cuts will still remain very light. There isn't a lot of corner cutting to talk about, but given how easily the copter turns move, you won't be running into any alignment issues.

* All the "normal" curvy copters that are released have a problem where the turns of edges that are separated by a face center can't happen simultaneously. This creates very annoying overhang bandaging which is caused not by the lack of cuts, but by the outer shape of the pieces. On the MF8 Skewby Copter Plus, this is fixed in the design: now the turns don't block each other.

* The Skewby Copter Plus has additional extra petal cuts (close to the face centers), which is actually the natural system of cuts for these axes, so to speak. The "normal" curvy copter is actually bandaged with an "incomplete" set of cuts. Before this MF8 release, the full cuts were available only on Mefferts Curvy Copter Plus.

* It's available in stickerless and in pink!, while the regular Copters aren't (if this is important to you).

Of course, the MF8 puzzle is more expensive, true, but it has all those advantages, and it has the skewb cuts on top of all that. You can solve it simply as a Curvy Copter with great turning if you want, or you can actually solve it as an exciting difficult puzzle if you utilize the skewb cuts. 2 in 1.

Alternatively, you can get LanLan Crazy Comet, which is the Curvy Copter Plus in its "natural" shape (the same exact system of axes and the same puzzle, but it's a face-turning solid).
