I accidentally sliced open my thumb while trying to open up a Clock.
Clock injuries part 2: after doing an ao100, the tips of my index fingers (especially the left) have skin rubbed away and feel numb.

Why would you cube right before a comp? It adds pressure. Not practicing on the day before a comp helps release nerves.Hello,
I was wondering if speedcubing can cause Carpal Tunnel? Have you guys had any problems with your hands or arms after cubing? Over the past week I have had pain in my hands and arms, sometimes pins and needles. I have been cubing lots, because I have a comp next week.
I'm planning to stop cubing for a few days and then practice a couple days before the comp. Is there anything else I can do to help it?
What is your experience? Thanks for any info.
This sort of thing can be caused by bad posture. Make sure you stand up and have a bit of a stretch every few solves and take at least a 5 minute break every hour. Maybe video yourself solving so you know how you sit. I'll bet you sit in the same hunched position for extended periods.Hello,
