[Help Thread] Cubing Injuries?

I've hurt my finger twice whilst cubing, by digging under the sticker causing me to bleed. It caused me to type with only 9 fingers but I'm a good typer so it didn't effect me. I couldn't solve one for the rest of the night though.

My Zhanchi sucks, I must have tensioned it wrong or something. It pops all the time and I've been hit in the face like 2 or 3 times. I have fast reflexes so I always close my eyes in time though - If I ever need to.

I once walked into my mother's room and saw my dog laying on a mattress. So I threw my cube on her bed to go pet him or whatever and it just missed the top of the bed and bounced off and hit my dog :( He seemed fine though.

Today in school... I was finding something in my pencil case, and the sharp tip of the compass went under my nail... It's index finger on my left hand (my OH hand...) I don't like feet, so I quit cubing until every touch hurts...

You revived the thread! Last reply was in 2009. Not really pertaining to the thread.

I haven't gotten a cube related injury yet, as I have been only cubing for about 5 months. But I have played piano for about 8 years and I think I remember practicing a lot one day and then my hand and fingers hurt.

Sorry for going off topic, but I had to point that out.

I sprained my wrist a week before my first ever competition rollerblading at a mission trip in July 2014 and I thought it was broken but it was just a really bad sprain. I thought that I couldn't cube for 1-2 weeks but I still did it anyway and went to the competition that was in a week. The cast was on my left wrist so I had to do OH with my right hand. I still managed a sub-30 average on 3x3! I ended up having the cast on for over 4 weeks straight.

Today in gym class my right hand middle finger got hit by a basketball so now it hurts pretty bad whenever I move it. I'm going to have to OH exclusively now...

Most of you probably won't know of the sport, but there's a sport in Ireland called Hurling, the best comparison would be it's like with hockey but you can pick up the ball with your hand.
I got hit right on my thumb about two weeks before my first competition, it was really badly sprained, but it healed a few days before the comp :)
I've quit hurling now because it's happened so many times, I much prefer cubing over any other hobby.

So, for the 2nd time in a row, I hurt my wrist at a mission trip called Madison Missions. Last year, I sprained my left wrist at a Fast Forward and it took over 5 weeks to heal and it interfered with Dixon 2014 at the mission trip. Just yeaterday, I was at Fast Forward again at the same mission trip and I damaged the tendons in my right wrist. What should I do and how long will it take to heal?
