Community Feedback: how can the site improve?

IMO, maybe 11.
Most kids are good and responsible at that age.

i think it just depends on the kid too much to say something like 11, there gonna be some immaturity on this site wether we raise the age or not and i think we just need to be more prepared for that, including being more mature ourselves instead of just seeing immaturity in others, this would definitely include avoiding starting fights... i just see comments sometimes that, although true, are just asking for a fight and they weren't necessary at all

Age usually does affect maturity, but correlation doesn't mean causation; there will be exceptions of course. Everyone is different, we can't just use a certain age to determine whether someone is mature or not.

I don’t think it matters what the age limit is. Kids can easily lie.
I can't say I haven't done that before. Even if a limit was implemented, not many people would follow it. An age suggestion would probably be more appropriate, as it would be less restricting but would still imply the maturity level people should reach before using this site.

I think much of the spamming and hostility could be greatly mitigated by enabling creators of threads to block an individual from responding further. Similar to what @FenTheGoat suggested with being able to delete threads, I think that allowing users to create threads should also include maintaining them to some extent. If an individual is consistently causing problems in one thread, the creator could simply put the entire conflict to an end instantly.

I'm not sure if our society's technology has advanced far enough to do that.

My programming experience does not include website design (so this logic could be completely baseless), but I feel like there must be a way to control threads you create (delete thread, pause responses, etc.); essentially moderator privileges limited to a thread originating from your account, similar to how a user can currently modify thread components (e.g., titles). I'm not trying to argue with your point in any capacity, because again, it could be entirely unrealistic. Just thinking out loud.
