Does anyone ever feel like everyone else thinks cubing is a complete waste of time? For example, I took my unsolved mastermorphix to church with me to mess around before class started and then set it on a chair. I got up to see what my youth pastor was talking about and left my mastermorphix on a chair. Minutes later someone ran into the chair knocking over my mastermorphix and knocking four pieces out. They didn't apologize, but I wasn't completely angry because I figured I could put it back together. I set the mastermorphix and pieces back on the chair, and 30 minutes later someone else picked up the chair knocking off the mastermorphix and another 5 pieces. They did lightly apologize, but I ended up having to throw the puzzle away. Does anyone else have any sadly self degrading cube stories?

Not a waste of time. It is brain games for me. Just like some people do cross words, or Sudoku. I find it relaxing and challenging to solve a 3x3, learn new algorithms, and now started solving blind (got my first sub 10 min a few minutes ago).

That sucks with the breaking puzzle. I rarely leave puzzles out of my sight if I bring them anywhere.

I am not sure if the last two repliers read the question properly but my answer is yes, very much so. By "everyone" I assume we mean virtually everyone / the general public. BTW, I can't believe you threw it away!
