My average is 2.34s. My best is 1.8. I just wondered if there were any other ways to get faster at it, other than continuously solving it?

Thanks.

I was actually going to ask this question too, for a brief moment, then I talked myself out of it after I realized it's only muscle memory. If you watch rubiksmaster12 on YouTube, you'll see how he just flips his hands real quick. You definitely need your magic broken in. I did two runs with my magic this morning. My new average today beat yesterday's PB. Yesterday's PB: 1.91, today's average: 1.96. I also got a PB today of 1.74. I play w/my magic a lot at work since it's insanely quick to solve / unsolve it.

I wish I had a better timer on my phone. Solving my 3x3 or magic is hard w/o my oh so accustomed to spacebar :P

I'm hoping to get a stackmat and timer after Christmas :D Currently my best is 1.66 secs and my best avg of 5 is 1.70.

Considering this time yesterday sub 2 secs was a rare one, now I'm getting sub 2s frequently :D

I never figured out how to time Magic using spacebar. It feels weird going backwards to pick up the magic instead of forwards using a stackmat timer.

My tips are just:
-practice. That brought my times down a bit.
-don't make your strings too loose unless you can restring
-practice more.
-maybe watch videos for motivation?

Stringing is important. I found these strings that always lay flat. But then it was too wobbly. So, I added in 4 normal strings, and it is great.

Also, I usually put the magic a little bit to the right, and directly in front of the timer, as opposed to the center. Also, I practice a lot.

Since the Canadians stole my timer, I haven't timed a magic solve because of this. I think I actually improve at a faster rate this way. I'm just solving for accuracy now, rather than time, which is good.

Yes it feels weird but when you don't have a stackmat you make do w/what you got :D:D However, hitting spacebar on the way of throwing the magic down sometimes I miss and get added time :(
