I have a few questions before I lubricate my cube.

1: I'm using the cubesmith stickers for my 3x3x3. Can I wash these without them becoming ruined?
2: What if I accidentally spray the stickers with the silicone? Will they be ruined, or very slippery?
3: Anything else important I should know before I lube it?

I think if you wash your cube with stickers on, your stickers will begin to peel off, but not positive. To lubricate, just take out 1 edge piece, give it a little spray, put the piece back in, and solve it a few times. Then take another piece out, spray, and repeat. If you get silicone on the stickers, just wipe it off and you'll be fine.

That seems like a lengthy way to lubricate. I was going to do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0rjg7ckq-0 You line all the pieces up in a row and spray them, flip them, spray them, flip them, and spray them again.

My pieces have a lot of dust on the inside...instead of washing, should I just take a rag and wipe it off?

EDIT: So, if I get silicone on the stickers, should I wipe it off IMMEDIATELY, or can I wait?

Just do what PJK suggested. Pop a piece out, spray on the edge, spray into the mechanism. Put it in, scramble for about 15 seconds, repeat three times. And you don't have to wash your cube. Vinyl stickers will not be damaged by water like paper stickers will.

Too late, I did it like the video. Wouldn't you make some parts smoother than others that way?

So, cubesmith stickers are vinyl? Sweet.

I think I got some silicone on them, will it rub off after a few hours of drying?

The vinyl stickers won't be damaged, yet the sticky stuff that makes them stick to the cube will probably not stick as well if water gets under a sticker the slightest bit.

Alright, I didn't wash em.

My lubrication is done, and the cube is put back togethor. Here is the result:

Stickers: Very sticky, but not very slippery. The more I've been doing the cube, and washing my hands, doing it more, etc. though, it has been getting better.
Cube: It's acting quite odd. If I try and do the top with just my finger, it requires the normal amount of force to get it going, and then BAM it turns halfway around in a split second. Basically, it's smooth, and also not, because it is sticking quite a lot. This may be because I left the pieces to dry for about 10 hours...maybe little beads of silicone dried, and hamper the movement?

I think it's a problem easily fixed. Just break in the cube by solving it a bunch of times. It should turn out fine.
