5x5 troubles

Hey,
I have a rubiks brand 5x5 and I tried lubing it. After I lubed it and started to solve it I noticed that the outer layers are vey hard to move but the inner layers move how I want the outer layers to move. Any tips or suggestions?

Wear it down. I don't think there is any better (or other) way.
