5x5 studio: how to open it ? lube it ?

Hello !

I have a rubik's studio which is really nice but a bit stiff. I don't manage to open it to lube it. I saw some videos on youtube but they were not precising if it was a normal rubik or a studio rubik. Everytime I tried to follow this video on my studio I have the feeling that I am going to break it.

So my questions are:
- is the 5x5 normal rubik and studio supposed to be opened the same way ?
- if not how do you open a rubik studio ?
- is it normal that it is really really difficult to open it ?
- how do you lube then ? (do you need to open it for that ?)

Most silicon sprays have a straw that you can put inside the cube.

But opening it up for the first time requires some strength. Start with an edge-wing, then some more edge-wings, some centers and as soon as you can remove a central edge the whole thing falls apart.

Just turn a layer 45 degrees and spray the exposed plastic, I would wear rubber gloves if you can.

Like AvGalen said, use the straw if you have one. Its A LOT easier to spray silicone in the cracks of the cube than trying to take it apart and put it back together. I hate taking apart 5x5s.

Rubiks 5x5x5 are ok, Eastsheen 5x5x5 is a bit harder, Eastsheen 4x4x4 is ......................... a challenge to put back together
