idk abt 4-pad as they use thumbs, but they have SOME IDIOTS that do keep the thumb smh

Not quite sure how to feel about this yet, infinitely better than the clock desicion though #turnbacktheclock

I think the only negative here is having to use a Stackmat g5 instead of some cheaper timers in certain areas. It's a pretty big negative, but I think it balances with the positives for me.

I'm only good at sprint events (which i'm not even good at them anyway)
I hate this decision now i will start dnfing my averages more often :(((((((((((((((((((((((((
I completely agree with you, also I can’t afford a gen 5 timer to practice with it’s just too low priority for me

Completely understand why this is happening, but that doesn't mean I like it.
No particular reason to why I don't, I just don't.

However I am willing to bet that there will be some controversy where some persons record, worlds podium average, something idk gets disqualified because it was set to 2-Pad and the judge did not change it and (I think that it is the judges duty to deal with that).

Also oddly weird for the WCA to involve clock into this despite their obvious hatred towards this. Way to be hypocritical.

I realize it is probably a tiny minority, but as large as the WCA has become, I wonder if there will be a problem with accommodations for those who might be missing a thumb? I guess in most cases that might be able to be handled by using a palm? A similar but more difficult problem might exist for someone with no hands who uses feet? I know this is a rare issue, but surely it needs to be considered, with as many competitors as we have now?
