So I was wondering how mats valk does this in

I am a sub 30 solver, and am wanting to know how to do that

It's a prepared scramble that looks messy but has a short solution.
Here's an example done by a close up magician and kindly reconstructed by Brest. This was done one handed.
B U' R F' x // "scramble"
U l' u L' // solve
After your scramble you could apply a few extra moves then reverse them before the solve part.
You might even be able to find Steve Brundage's scrambles around here somewhere if you search.
